2024 Liebherr Drilling rigs LB series LB 35

The LB 35 is the successor of the proven rotary drilling rig LB 28-320. Its torque is 350 kNm – a 10 % increase in comparison to its predecessor. Drilling with Kelly equipment, double rotary head and continuous flight auger are common methods. Among its main characteristics is the simple transport including folded leader as well as the wide working area thanks to the parallel kinematics. Additionally, the LB 35 has a robust leader which can easy handle high torques and great tractive forces of the rope crowed system. This ensures particularly fast operating cycles.

Features may include:

• Strong winches enable highest performance even under the most difficult conditions. Furthermore, the noise emission is considerably reduced thanks to their elastic mounting.

• The leader top is designed for different drilling axes and is therefore suitable for all applications.

• This includes a modern air-conditioning system with improved airflow, an optimized field of vision and increased noise protection, as well as an orthopaedic operator’s seat with integrated heating and cooling.

• Both the counterweight and the leader are modularly constructed. This enables quick and easy assembly and flexible application.

• Basic machine and leader with all hydraulic hoses connected can be transported in one piece. The minimized assembly work allows for quick and easy transportation of the machine between jobsites. Hence, time and money is saved even before operation starts.

• The crane control system offers a multitude of programme and control options for various drilling methods. Service and machine data is also provided on color displays. The operator thus benefits from a facilitated handling of the rig. Hence, quick working cycles are achieved.
